Why can a tilt switch with omni function(KDXYOh) only measures till 45°?

A tilt switch with omnidirectional measurement ( such as QG40N-KDXYOh-045-ASP-CM-UL) means the switch point is an angle calculated as below:

If we visualize it, all switch points forms actually a sphere where de R of the sphere = omni(x,y)

Because the omni version amplifies the measurement errors on the X and Y axes, and inclination sensors has a best non-linearity within ±30°, we are limiting the measurement range of the omni version to within 45 degrees."
