Frequently Asked Question
What are the differences between QR40 HB and HBS model?
Last Updated 2 years ago
QR40 (shaft model) with centering
Due to an extreme difficult semiconductor market over the last two years, we have to discontinue the QR40 HB series. In order to minimize the consequences for our customers, we are read with the a next-best alternative: new electronics in the same housing/shaft. The new serie will be named with QR40 HBS.
Only difference: no centering function available, thus a 3-wire cable instead of a 4-wire cable. So this device is backwards compatible except the centering function.
We have three options for customers to adjust the 0° point:
- Small adjustments (±7°): use slot-holes in housing during mounting
- Large adjustments: mounting the housing on the desired angle
- Exact centering: implement centering functioning in the application’s software, executed once after mounting.
Remarks:
- The product name will be equal except an ‘S’ behind ‘HB’ to indicate ‘Special’.
- Pricing is equal to the old model.
- Datasheets are available on our website.
- The portfolio of this new ‘HBS’-model is expanded
- For this new model it is possible to order non-standard subranges as well.
- The products will have the following names/product numbers:
