When you order a QR encoder, a rectangular magnet is always included

Depending on your application, you might want to choose another type of magnet. That is possible. DIS offers also several other magnet models:

Pay attention to the distance between the magnet and the sensor. Because different magnet as different magnetic field, the distance specified in our datasheet is tested with the included rectangular magnet.

For QR30N series, we have tested the distance with following 3 types:
With standard rectangular magnet: < 7mm
With round d8h5: < 2mm
With round d15h4: < 9mm
