What is the maximum cable length for the configurator?

Configurators are handy in the laboratory or sometimes needed in field so that you can adjust the parameters with your PC. Sometimes sensors are customised with a longer cableļ¼DIS standard cable version is with 2m cable), is it still possible to use the configurator then? The answer is yes, however there is a length limit.
QG40N configurator communicates with one wire, the max length we have tested is 5m.
QG65 configurator communicates with RS232, the max length is 40m.
If you use a cable longer than that limit, you might get problems reading the sensor.
