End of Life Announcement: QG65 & QG76 Analog Series
Last Updated 8 months ago
We are announcing the discontinuation of the QG65/76 analog series of products after over a decade of service. The obsolescence of the MEMS chip, a crucial component, will render these products obsolete by Q4 2023. However, we are diligently working on a worthy successor that is currently in the advanced stages of development.
Key highlights
In a nutshell, the following models will be offered:
Model 2 (bold) succeeds the the obsolete product.
Model 1 stands as a successor to the phased-out product while maintaining a competitive price
point.
Model 3, with its enhanced Dynamic (gyro compensation) feature, comes at a higher cost.
Model 4 represents the premium choice for demanding applications.
Key highlights
- The forthcoming successor will be designated as QG65N2 / QG76N2.
- While the successor aims for compatibility, please note that the tilt switch functions will no longer be available on the new platform. For these features, we recommend considering our QG40N tilt series.Small differences in dynamic behaviour might occur, therefore optional extra filtering options are available. Testing for critical applications is recommended.
- The successor will build upon the foundation of our accomplished state-of-the-art Dynamic
Inclinometer platform. - This successor holds a UL Listing certification/
- DIS standard models will transition from 8-pin M12 to 5-pin M12 connectors. Upon request, 8-pin M12 versions will remain accessible to our existing customers.
- In addition to the conventional inclinometer, an advanced Dynamic (gyro-compensated) Inclinometer will be at your disposal, catering to intricate dynamic applications.
The upcoming series will be available in both standard accuracy and high accuracy variants. (The high accuracy variant matches the high temperature stability of the outgoing series, while the standard accuracy series offers a more competitive price point.) - Standard accuracy engineering samples will be available in Q4 2023.
- Both standard and high accuracy models will be ready for mass production starting from Q1 2024.
- A brand new configurator (single configurator for all models) to be introduced in Q2 2024.
